Information you provide directly
- Customers: Name, phone number, email address (optional), suburb or postcode, description of the repair or service needed, urgency level, property type
- Tradies: Business name, contact name, ABN, phone number, email address, trade licence numbers, insurance details, service areas, business description
- Contact form: Name, email address, message content
Information collected automatically
- IP address and approximate location
- Browser type and version, operating system
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URL
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
3. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and fulfil your service requests by connecting you with relevant tradies
- Share your job details (description, location, urgency) with tradies in your area so they can respond
- Share your contact details (name, phone) with tradies you select or who respond to your request
- Verify tradie qualifications, licences and insurance
- Communicate with you about your requests, account or the platform
- Improve and develop the platform, including analytics and performance monitoring
- Comply with legal obligations
- Prevent fraud, abuse and security threats
We will not use your personal information for direct marketing without your consent. You can opt out of any marketing communications at any time.
6. Data storage and security
Your personal information is stored on secure servers located in Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect your data from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including:

- Access controls limiting who can view personal information
- Regular security reviews and updates

7. Data retention

- Customer job requests: retained for 2 years after completion for service improvement and dispute resolution
- Tradie profiles: retained while the account is active and for 12 months after deactivation
- Contact form submissions: retained for 12 months
After the retention period, personal information is securely deleted or de-identified.
8. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of any inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete or misleading information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations requiring us to retain certain data)
- Complaint: Lodge a complaint if you believe we have breached the APPs

9. Children's privacy

The platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
